Are you Scared?

I have a question to ask of those anticipating the worst in days to come due to the idiocy of Wallstreet. No need to send an email regarding your response, this is a question we all need to ask ourselves.

What’s more important? Getting ready to meet Christ by studying His Word daily? Or getting ready to cash in your investments by studying the economic landscape daily? If you are a true child of the living God, you can easily echo the words of a man after God's own heart wherein he said...

  • Psalms 37:25, "I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread."

Yes, I understand that money is necessary this side of eternity. But how many of us worried about money when we were babies? Toddlers? Pre-teens or teens? More often then not, we trusted mom and dad to foot the bill. Who do you suppose set up that family unit for us as babies? I’ll give you a hint. He’s the same one that feeds that bird outside your window every morning. What’s amazing is, He does that even when we as humans look out our window in Winter to see nothing but snow everywhere, yet those animals eat till their little tummies are full.

  • Matthew 6:26-34, "Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?  Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?  And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:  And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.  Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?  Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?  (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.  Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."

If you worry about your next meal, all I can say is, is there not a God in Israel? Or is there an idol of money in Israel? (For those that don’t realize who the Biblical Israel is, I suggest click here to see my page on this topic, or click here for the video.)

In intense times like these it has been realized that people have a tendency to get on their knees and seek after God. What’s really amazing is he actually runs towards them when they do this!  You can read about how He does just that in Luke 15 where He speaks about the prodigal son.

Imagine that! All the sins commited over the years squandering His Father's inhereitence and all the acts of hatred towards the Truth contained in his father's loving Words are all completely forgotten when the child of God repents and seeks forgiveness. Praise God He is nothing like us eh? If He was, there would be no room in Hell when that day comes to fill it. His mercy is real and oftentimes He allows trials like these to shake us up. Need I remind anyone of all the trials in Scripture that made people stand up and take notice that when they seek to do it on their own, they always fail when the Lord is not in the equation?

There were many times before I found Christ that I thought all was lost due to my own private little “economic disaster.” I recall one time I had a few kids and baby on the way with no job, no prospects, no car, no phone, and not even two nickels to rub together to make a call if I could get to a phone. Yet I am alive today as are my wife and children. To this day I don’t know how He does it, but He does it every time. As I shared earlier, even King David saw the way our Father works long ago when he put pen to paper in Pslams 37:25.

  • Psalms 37:25, "I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread."

This is why I can’t understand how people refuse to worship such a God as the Christian God. Besides the fact that they will gain eternal life in Heaven; while we are waiting to go home to His kingdom He takes care of us down here on a daily basis. Yes, the world is on the verge of an economic disaster thanks to evil men in leadership that "…have heaped treasure together for the last days." (James 5:3) But such a thing will never affect the child of God. A lot of people will be scared out of their wits in the coming days, but not the Christian that trusts His God because He bluntly tells us in His Word…

  • Isaiah 33:16, "He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure."

Yes I am aware that Executive Order #11501 declares that martial law can be enacted in the case of economic disaster, and yes I recall New York Governor Spitzer let the cat out of the bag on this “so called” un-foreseen disaster months ago (See my March 24 2008 Newsletter on this) and shared evidence it was an inside job. But does any of this matter when we have a God that knows of our needs? Had ancient Israel accepted Christ as Messiah they never would have had to deal with their destruction.

  • Matthew 23:37, "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!"

A few years ago I came across a document that you may find very interesting. I don’t recall who originally wrote it, but if you do know who did, please let me know and I will give credit where credit is due. It was a breakdown done by a retired quartermaster General of the United States armed forces regarding what it would take for God to supply the ancient believers with food and water on a daily basis in the desert those 40 years. When you read this, think about your meager needs when the U.S. Government is successful in destroying the economy so as to bring in the New World Order that entails connecting Mexico and Canada with the U.S. so as to create an Amero that will compete with the Euro, which is of course the forerunner of a cashless society that can give them better control so as to enforce the mark of the Roman Catholic beast. When you see how powerful this God is, and how much He loves His children so as to supply them with plenty of food and water while in the midst of a desert, a few cups of water and a meal or two per day would be revealed to you as an easy task for Him to bless you with when the time comes. Keep in mind, the following information was compiled to get the stats on what it would take to feed 2 to 3 million people in a desert where there is naturally no water or food to be found for hundreds of miles.

First off, the promise made by the Father regarding all this…

  • Exodus 16:4, "Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no."

Promise fulfilled...

  • Exodus 16:14-15, "And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground. And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat."

In order to feed 2 million people, the Lord would have to have sent 1500 tons of food each day.  Are you aware that to do such a thing it would take, two freight trains, each a  mile long filled with food.

  • Exodus 16:23, "And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning."

What many fail to realize is the fact they would also have to have firewood so as to cook that 1500 tons of food. This would take 4000 tons of wood and a few more freight trains, each a mile  long. By the way, this is what they would need for just one day! The Lord blessed them like this each and every day for 40 years. When you realize you only need a few pounds of food to survive daily, does this boost your faith in the ability of your Father in heaven? I know it boosts my faith.

Another thing is they needed water to survive in that desert.

  • Exodus 17:3, "And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?"
  • Exodus 17:6, "Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel."

Not only did they need water, but the Word says they needed it for their cattle as well. If they only had enough to drink as well as a bit more to wash a few dishes, it would take 11,000,000 gallons of water each and every day. To put this in perspective, it would take a freight train with water tank cars, 1800 miles long just to bring water. What’s worse, this is happening in a desert. Do you live in a desert? Of course not. But even if you did, this proves our God is very capable of getting you something to drink.

Before any of this, they had to get across the Red Sea of course. I like the way the Lord does this, because it helps His people throughout their generations to trust Him. The Red Sea event has helped me numerous times in my Christian walk. I recall one time where the Lord prevented me from finding work for 16 straight months after we left the big city and moved to a farm. He wanted me to get in His Word more at this time so as to discover the truth about His law and to unlearn a lot of Roman Catholic doctrines all the churches embrace to this day. As His Word said almost 2000 years ago, His people will not be defiled by such churches in the end. (See Revelation 14:4)  I guess He knew a job at this time would distract me finding the Truth he needed me to embrace, so I couldn’t find a job no matter what. At the same time I had an insatiable desire to dig into His Word. I was 8 to 10 hours a day in the Bible for those 16 months, and all throughout this time our “bread and waters” were sure. Each time I was tempted to despair He would remind me of how the ancient believers were hemmed in by nature while Pharaoh’s men were bearing down on them. They had no escape from certain death. As the years have passed, I have seen how my Father works in my life. Many times He answers the prayers rather quickly. But there are times he answers right when it's absolutely needed. It's kinda like getting the ticket for the train right as it pulls into the station. Lessons like this over the years have blessed me with patience in a major way.

Many are unaware of what it would take for them to get across that Sea that day. This too glorifies the Father as it had to be done in a way that both gave the people what they needed as well as glorify the Father's hand in their lives. If they were to cross the Sea on a narrow path, like double file for example. The line that that many people would generate would be 800 miles long, and it would require all of 35 days and nights to get through to the other side. There had to be a space in the Red Sea that was 3 miles wide so that they could walk 5000 abreast to get over in just one night.

I just recently watched a video the other day that documented the location of that crossing as well as Mount Sinai, and they found what’s called an “underwater land bridge” wide enough to allow such a act to occur under the water in that area where the water is usually hundreds of feet deep. I am sure the Lord moved the water off that land bridge and piled it along side in such a position that none of the faithful fell into the deep trenches of water on either side. It actually looks like He created the planet thousands of years prior in such a way just for that day. Makes you wonder what we will see in the days ahead that shows His hand being present thousands of years prior so as to make our safety a surety at this time.

But then, there is another problem the people of God would have to deal with. This too helps God‘s people to trust Him because He never misses even the smallest details. Each time they camped at the end of the day, due to their immense numbers, a campground two-thirds the size of the state of Rhode Island was required. To put that in perspective, that’s a total of 750 square miles covered by tents! Each time they moved they would have to find a space that large to set up camp.

Let me ask you this.. Do you think Moses figured all this out before he left Egypt?  I don’t think so. Main reason being is, Moses believed in God and His love for His children.

Now do you think the Christian God has any problem taking care of all your needs when the day comes wherein we will be unable to buy and sell? It’s going to take faith, yes. This is why I have been stressing for a few years now that we MUST get as close to Christ as we can right now. We will need to have the faith of saints when this day comes. Without it, people will be running scared just like those that leaped from buildings after the 1929 Stock Market crash.

  • Romans 5:1-5, "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:  By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.  And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;  And patience, experience; and experience, hope:  And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."

If you don't gather to Christ's side now, you will have one less day of experience in trusting Him when that day comes wherein you will need it to literally survive. If you wait a year, you will have 365 fewer days of experiencing His hand in your life. The longer you wait, the less you will be prepared. Most people prepare for their retirement decades in advance. What's more important? Getting ready to meet Christ by studying His Word daily? Or getting ready to cash in your investments by studying the economic landscape?
