Prophetic Evidence

Some of you reading may have already read this area of the document. I ask that you read it once more for there are many "updates" to this area. We all know that time waits for no man. So is the reality when it comes to the prophecy found in God's Word. The "updates" deal mainly with new prophetic evidence of fulfillment. For it is indeed the end times and prophecy is being fulfilled almost on a daily basis all around us. I am constantly doing research as well, so this too adds to the updates found throughout the document.

All my life I was told to do things this way or that way by those around me that I looked up to for guidance. All of us I'm sure, have many times been told by our parents, teachers, or friends, that we should do this or that, in this way or that way. This is all part of life, and this is how we as a people grow in the knowledge of those things that are important to us. We have always relied on someone other than ourselves to teach us, whether it be from the mind numbing pages of a school book, a lesson from a teacher, advice from a loved one, or a sermon from a preacher. We've all had someone for the first time teach us how to hold a cup, a spoon or take that first climb atop that white porcelain monster with the gapping mouth that we've previously with great glee fed our siblings toys to. Most of us even had to be coaxed into taking our first steps by a loving parent or sibling before we realized we had that wobbly ability. It's a fact, all of us were at one time just babes guided by the hands of someone who loved us dearly. There are so many wonderful lessons we can look back on with genuine joy, and yes, even with discomfort for the hard lessons in life that we seem to find all too often.

I'm reminded of a story of when I was young. My parents had bought me a bike for my birthday. I had never been on a bike in my life, nor have I ever seen such a beautiful sight in all my limited days. This bike was HUGE, the bike of bikes! It had the biggest bell, it was the reddest red, it had the bestest, shiniest fenders, it also had the fattest balloon tires I ever saw! Even at this age I knew those fat tires were a bit much! I mean c'mon, I'm living in Smalltown Suburbia USA, not Baha Mexico. And what's with these streamers?! Looking back, I must have been a comical sight on that massive bike. I was all of 57lbs soaking wet in full combat gear! I probably looked like a pipe cleaner on a full dress Harley.

Regardless, I couldn't wait to get that bike outside! It appeared as well that neither could my siblings. You see... I come from of a very large family, and there was a line forming at the door of eager professionals that wanted to teach me all the pro's and con's of the fine art of bicycle riding. Well, needless to say, all's that transpired was a brood of cries proclaiming, "It's my turn to teach him... No, it's my turn!!" Soon I found myself watching everyone else teach me "how easy it was" to ride a bike without once getting close enough for even my expectant panting to warm the seat of my "not so new anymore" bike. It wasn't until my father arrived to stop what was now developing into a block wide childrens convention of hopeful bikers before I ever got on my bike!

My time had arrived! My father helped me up on the seat. He spoke to me briefly about the importance of balance. Then he started to walk me down the sidewalk. Then, BAM!! The man let go. As I was coming to I heard the sounds of laughter. This confirmed I was still among the living, as I was still within earshot of concerned loved ones, hence, the laughter. So I raised my boney body to it's feet, and got back on my bike. Well, after about ten or fifteen 911 calls I was able to keep the bike mostly upright without the extra help of my father. I was even getting better at avoiding Mrs. McCarthy's cat. Ya know...it wasn't until the 7th or 8th fatal accident with her cat that it finally realized it wasn't the dinner bell I was ringing on them handlebars. As time went on, I became pretty good at riding my bike. I even learned how to fix my bike when it got a flat, or threw a bearing. My father was always there to show me the way to do it right. In no time at all I became so good with bikes that I was able to take them apart and reassemble them within minutes. I can now go anywhere I want on my fat-tire bike. By the way, those balloon tires were actually a blessing in disguise. Did you ever try to hand pump those skinny tires? My arms were about the size of broom handles back then. There was no way I was able to pump 60 or 80lbs of pressure with my brittle biceps. Besides, you feel every pebble God has placed on the planet when you ride one of those skinny tire bikes. No Thanks! I'll stick with my nice smo-o-o-oth fat tire cruiser. This all thanks to my father, because he knew in advance what type of bike was best for his child.

This brings to mind another story where a Father told His children how to do something. However this story is no laughing matter. He was actually so concerned with making sure that they wouldn't forget His instructions that He wrote them all down in a book. Such a loving Father He must be you would say. Yet, some of His children never even bothered to read their Father's book. They just trusted others to read the book for them and explain what it said. But the people they chose to read their Fathers book were not His children, nor did they love the Father. These readers didn't even love the children! They would read the book and then tell the children things the Father said, even when the Father didn't say it..."and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken." [Ezekiel 22:28] These readers and their followers are about to experience an immense wrath of such proportions from the Father that it can only be described as nightmarish judgments encased in flames. Nevertheless, The Father is merciful toward His children who are under the false influence of these readers, in that He is giving them one last plea today, "saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." [Revelation 18:4]

The list is absolutely endless of the amount of, "false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." [Matthew 7:15] These "false prophets" appear to be so loving and kind that the children never suspect that they would ever be harmed by them. "For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock." [Acts 20:29] Todays world is saturated with one child after another being lied to in ways that are so plainly warned about in their Fathers book that it seems so senseless that they won't even read it for themselves. Their Father even warns them that He will severely punish them for not reading His book. "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, ... seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children." [Hosea 4:6 ]

If someone was to warn you moments before you were to board an airliner that they had POSITIVE PROOF the pilot flying your aircraft was drunk, and they could show you the proof within minutes, would you board the doomed aircraft? Or would you stop, and at least check out the evidence this someone had for you?

I am going to go through a few key points about how "readers" will lie to the children. I will also dispense with the pretense that you don't know I am talking directly to you as a child of the Father. I am sure you have probably already figured out that the Father is, God the Father, and the readers are the worldly preachers and teachers that Matthew 7:15 so eloquently describes them..."they are ravening wolves."

Before actually getting into each key point. I would first of all like to point out that some of these key points may not apply to your present situation or church. However I am sure if you continue reading you may see things that you would never expect were actually happening in some of todays churches. Plus, I would also like to ask you to have your Bible open so you can verify the Scriptures I am about to share with you. I feel it's important that all God's children get in the habit of TRUSTING ONLY IN GOD'S WORD AS THE FINAL AUTHORITY and never take mine or any man's opinion as the final say when it comes to God's Word. You may have already noticed that I prefer to use Scriptures that are not opinionated, nor are they difficult for the child of God to understand. That way the worldly preachers and teachers can not try to baffle some of the younger babes in Christ with puffed up confusing theological explanations to these Scriptures, because they are to the point! Most are so "to the point" that even the un-believer can't deny them for what they say!

The errors being preached are so astronomically high and most of them are so cunningly hidden, that I am only going to share with you in an areas of the Word that have been attacked so openly and abused in such a way that it appears they are mocking the Word of God purposely. I will also refrain from pointing out the problems of each denomination. Mainly because there are over 1000 denominations world wide. Over 300 denominations are in the United States alone. And that would take volumes of books to explain each one. So I will just point out some of the more obvious errors that prove these preachers or teachers to be un-Biblical, and very deadly to your soul and the souls of your loved ones.

Of the 1000 denominations, many teach that prayers to the dead saints are acceptable and should be done often. They also teach that when a person dies they go to a spirit world where they can be contacted by us in prayer, or by psychic's in a seance. Some actually teach re-incarnation where the soul goes from one life to the next forever. Then there are those that teach the spirit of the deceased can actually haunt people if the deceased had been wronged in some major way in their mortal life. And finally, some teach that dead saints are allowed to come back from heaven and warn us of things that will happen if we don't heed their Heavenly warnings. One of these denominations even go so far as to claim that the mother of God Almighty will appear from time to time to relay messages from heaven.

Before making a judgment about which church is correct, if any. Lets go to the Bible and see what the Bible has to say about where we go when we die. We're going to the Bible because these are churches we are investigating. If we were investigating something someone told us about how to properly tune an engine we would go to the mechanics manual of that particular engine to find out if they were correct. These are churches we're dealing with which claim to be teaching us what the Bible says about these topics, so lets see if they're right.

Unless otherwise noted, The Bible I'll be quoting from is the Authorized King James Version.

Psalms 6:3-5

My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long? Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake. For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?

The Psalmist is praying for deliverance to arrive before death. Because he knows he won't have the ability to remember anything from the grave, nor can he give thanks from the grave.

Psalms 115:17

The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.

Psalms 146:4

His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish

Ecclesiastes 9:5,6

For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

It appears rather plain here. The dead seem to be just that...DEAD! They can't remember, they can't thank anyone, they can't praise God, they can't think, they can't even dream because the verse says, "his thoughts perish." All their abilities have perished, "the dead know not any thing." Notice the last verse above. "...neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun." The Bible is stating that the dead can in no way take part in anything under the sun. The (RSV) Bible actually translates the above last verse like this. "...they have no more for ever any share in all that is done under the sun." The New International Version (NIV*) translates it, "...never again will they have any part in anything that happens under the sun." Pretty plain is it not

If the Bible is saying the dead can't affect anything that happens here on earth. Why are people still praying to these dead saints when the dead can't hear them? Why do people still believe in hauntings, seances, apparitions etc??? They believe it because they never read in their Bibles the truth about these things. They just trusted their church leaders to tell them truthfully what the Bible says. So, who or what are these people seeing at these seances, hauntings and apparitions? Some churches believe that its Mary the mother of Jesus. as well as Jesus Himself are showing up in these apparitions. Many also believe that paintings or statues of Mary are actually bleeding real blood, or crying real tears. But how can this be? Does not the Word of God plainly state that the dead can in no way affect anything that happens here on this earth? If these apparitions aren't Mary, or Jesus, then who are they?

I could very easily write an entire book on all the evidence that is available today to prove that it is NOT Mary the mother of Jesus, or Jesus Christ, that is appearing or has appeared in such places as Fatima, Lourdes, or even Bayside NewYork as well as countless other places. Maybe some day in the future the Lord will allow me to do just that. For now, I will share what is happening on a frequent basis in NewYork. The "Apparition" calling itself Mary, or "Our Lady of the Roses" as it prefers, has been relaying "Messages from Heaven" for all to read. All we need to do is what the Bible says we must do when this occurs. It will reveal to us exactly who it is that is appearing to these people. The Bible tells us very plainly that we should "believe not every spirit, but try (TEST) the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." [1John 4:1] The Bible also warns us that in the end-times we will see an increase in demonic activity. The prophecy states that "they are the spirits of devils, working miracles," [Revelation 16:14] But don't take my word for it, lets take a look at what these "apparitions" are saying before we make a decision. We need to see if they "are of God", and the only way to see if they are is to see if they are consistent with what the Word of God says. If they are truly bringing us messages from Heaven, then these messages will harmonize with the ultimate message. "The Bible."

I was driving down the road one day with two of my sons when we noticed a billboard as big as life with huge bold letters proclaiming, "Mary Speaks to America!" It had an "800" phone number on it to call. So I jotted it down and headed home. A week or so after making the call I received an envelope packed with information from "Our Lady's Children in Maryland." There was three flyers with tons of "Messages from Heaven", along with 15 promises from Mary. It also contained a "blessed" rose petal in the package.
 

Promise # 9 = "I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the rosary"

Promise # 14 = All who recite the rosary are my sons, and brothers of my only son Jesus Christ."

First off we learned earlier that the Lord prefers that we "use not VAIN REPETITIONS, as the heathen do" [Matthew 6:7] So the rosary itself is not consistent with what the Word of God teaches for the method of prayer. Plus we also learned earlier that "there is A GREAT GULF FIXED so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence." [Luke 16:26] So how could Mary deliver anyone out of anyplace? The Bible dosen't say that Mary is our deliverer, it says that "The LORD [is] my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;" [2Samuel 22:2] Plus there is absoulutely no mention of a place called purgatory anywhere in the Bible. If you have a computer with the Bible online try doing a search for the word "purgatory", you will find NOTHING. Next we see that one of the 15 promises states that Jesus is the ONLY SON of Mary. This too is in direct conflict with what the Word of God says about the family that Jesus grew up with. As we learned earlier, there are numerous verses that proves Jesus was indeed from a large family. Matthew 13:55-56 alone states that Jesus had four brothers and more than one sister! Does it not say that this Jesus was "the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his BRETHREN, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? And his SISTERS, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?"

On one of the flyers it states that Mary says we should "Wear the brown Scapular and other sacramentals." Also it states everyone should "-Keep the statues in your homes." -Bayside "The Lourdes of America" Jesus and Mary Speak to the World Through Veronica Lueken

This is indeed a direct method of teaching the people of the world to break Commandment # 2. "Thou shalt not make unto thee ANY graven image, or ANY likeness of ANYTHING that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth." [Exodus 20:4] Remember? A "graven image" and a statue, scapular, medal, sacramental, are all the SAME THING. IDOLS, plain and simple.

Did not Jesus say on the cross, "it is finished" [John 19:30] Jesus didn't say, "It is finished...But wait a minute... My Mom will stop by in 1917, 1930, 1964, 1982, 1994, etc... to let you know what I am up to."

Below excerpts are taken from the "Directives from Heaven" circular found within the package.

"Once again, the Commandment #2 is suggested to be broken. Notice the actual use of the word "image." Seems like a pretty bold attempt to sway many to ignore the second Commandment of God."

"You must keep them upon you, with a crucifix. We demand a crucifix. Directives from Heaven From the vision of "-Jesus, June 18, 1987"

Here it seems the apparition of "Jesus" is demanding that all Catholics break the Commandments that He Himself taught us to keep! Does not Jesus say with His own mouth "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love." [John 15:10] So how is it possible that He would now tell everyone to wear an "image, or likeness that is in Heaven above?" when His Bible tells us that we should not?

The Lord blesses all with a wonderfull and easy to understand clue to keep in mind. The Bible plainly says, "For I am the LORD, I change not;" [Malachi 3:6] Is this not a wonderful way to "test" the spirits that are popping up all over the place? Why would the Lord tell us one thing in His Bible, and another thing in some "apparition" in NewYork, Fatima, or Lourdes? Don't think that this is just some people playing a prank on everyone for reasons of financial gain. These "apparitions" are very real, for the Bible says very simply that "Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." [2 Corinthians 11:14] Satan does indeed use this method to decieve many! As a matter of fact, the devil will use even more miraculous methods for all to see very soon. You can count on it! He knows his time is short, he needs to be more persuasive as the end gets closer.

Kind of makes you wonder if anyone is reading their Bibles now doesn't it. How can so many fall for such lies when the Word of God has it all written down well in advance in the Scriptures that it will happen this way? If everyone knew the truth about where people go when they die, the Devil would have absolutely no power to deceive in this way. Everyone would know it's not Mary standing before them, or Saint Therese sending them "roses." For the Devil to use terms like, "angels of light", "purgatory", or "image", proves he has every confidence in the world that those he deceives don't know this is warned of in the Bible. It's almost as if he is "showing off" and proving his control over the population to keep them out of the Bible. This stuff is first grade reader type warnings for everyone to see, yet, if they refuse to look in the Bible they won't see it.

I'm sure you're wondering. "Just where do we go when we die?" Don't go running to get this answer from your preacher, teacher, friend, pastor, or priest. Just go back in the Bible to find out. It is were you should always go when you're in question. However if you do at times go to a person for answers, verify it in the Word of God before making any decisions! Don't trust me or any man! Go to God's Word for the final answer and you will never go wrong.

So...where do we go when we die?

Psalms 13:3

Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

The Bible refers to death as sleep. During this dreamless sleep, "his thoughts perish," so, is it possible to affect the lives of others or carry on normal day to day activities in normal sleep? I think not. In the book of John we find a situation where Jesus Himself refers to the dead as being asleep.

John 11:11-14

...Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well. Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.

The disciples thought when Jesus said Lazarus was sleeping that he would be ok. So Jesus had to plainly say "Lazarus is dead." A few verses later we actually find out how long Lazarus would have been sleeping the sleep of death if Jesus had not raised him from the dead later on in verse 43.

John 11:23,24

Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

The book of Job also mentions the length of sleep for the dead.

Job 14:12

So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.

Notice the word till in the above verse. This means the dead will not, or cannot awaken until the last day, as Martha calls it in John 11:24. So if they are asleep, why is it people are praying to them, or conjuring up their non-existent ghosts? What actually happens to many when they finally do wake up on the last day?

Daniel 12:2

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

My Favorite verse on this subject....

1Corinthians 15:20-23

But now is Christ risen from the dead, [and] become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man [came] death, by man [came] also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

According to this verse, the dead in Christ will remain in their graves awaiting the order of resurrection. What is that order you ask? Jesus is the "firstfruits of them that slept" And then those that are believers in Jesus will "be made alive". But when will they be made alive? According to the Bible, they will have to be made alive in the order that God Almighty set up. Jesus, the "firstfruits" and then those that are His followers, "at His coming" Rather blunt is it not?

Some of the 1000 different denominations teach that we must do good works to obtain salvation, some also have secondary redeemers they claim must be worshipped along with Jesus to guarantee salvation. Some claim that membership in their church is necessary for salvation. Once again lets take a look at what the Bible says about these particular claims. Then we will look at what the Bible says is actually needed to obtain salvation.

First we'll look at the good works claim. I must first explain what is meant by some of them when they say good works. They claim good works is doing nice things for your neighbor, friend, or even enemy, that when done will account for a growth in holiness and eventual salvation if enough good works are performed. Also doing acts of holiness is also considered a necessity, like long prayers, church service, giving money to the church, visiting the sick, etc...

Ephesians 2:8-10

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

The Bible says here that salvation "is the gift of God," and "Not of works." Think about that for a moment. If salvation was obtained by something we as humans can do, then why would the Word say it is a gift? When a person becomes a true Christian, good works become part of their walk of life. They literally do these good works naturally. The NIV* plainly puts the last verse from above like this, "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." The RSV also states that, "...we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." So we see here, we will do the good works because we were created to do them. Salvation is not something we have to work at to obtain. It is a gift.

Now let's take a look at the claim that a secondary redeemer is needed for salvation. Some churches actually claim that Mary the mother of Jesus is needed to be worshipped along with Jesus in order to gain salvation. Some even go so far as to say that Mary was without sin. (By the way...Mary also happens to be quite human, and what did we find out earlier about people that have died?)

First lets look at the Bible verse that proves the secondary redeemer claim to be a lie, plain and simple.

Acts 4:10-12

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

 
I don't know about you, but this verse seems to be rather direct in what it's saying. So, why do people believe you must worship a second redeemer along with Jesus when the Bible says that Jesus is the only Savior? They believe it because they haven't read their Bibles. These loving and loyal people just trust their church leaders to tell them what the Bible says. They have no idea that their church leaders are lying to them. These particular church leaders are the ones I told you about earlier. They don't love the Father! If they did, why are they worshipping and teaching others to worship someone other than Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Now for The churches claiming Mary the mother of Jesus was without sin. They say, that's why she deserves the title "Co-Redeemer". However, The Word of God has also proven this a lie as well...
 

Luke 1:46,47

And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

If Mary was without sin, why does the Bible say she needed a Savior, especially if she herself is considered co-savior??? Is not the Word plain here? Does not the Word mention Mary by name? Didn't Mary say she needed a Savior with her own mouth? Don't these people know this is in their Bibles? Maybe not...maybe they are a loving and loyal congregation who will do whatever their Priest will tell them. Maybe they lovingly trust their church leaders not to tell them boldface lies.

Mary was no different than any of us today. Like the word says, she was also "created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Her good work just happen to be that God Almighty chose her to be the one who will raise His Son on earth. She was a sinner like the rest of us. Does not the Word say in Romans...

Romans 3:10,23

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

The Word doesn't say...For all have sinned except Mary. It says ALL have sinned. So why do they believe she is sinless? Because they made the honest mistake of trusting in their church leaders to tell them what the Word of God says. And these "ravening wolves" took advantage of these trusting souls and preached awful blasphemous lies to them!

Out of the many lies that have been preached around the world, there is one more I would like to expose in this document. I feel this is the most destructive lie that the Devil has ever spun, and I feel after you read what the Word of God has to say about it you will agree with me. But first, I must reveal something to you that you may find rather shocking or hard to believe, but hear me out. It needs to be exposed before I share with you the next lie so you will better understand. I do have all the proof you'll need, both Biblical proof as well as historical proof. Also you must keep in mind how the devil works in all situations of temptation. Does any of us recall a temptation that we have experienced that was extremely unattractive? No we do not. The devil always "sugar coats" his sinfilled attractions. Take for example "chocolate". This is indeed a tasty treat, however we all know what science has proven beyond the shadow of a doubt about the adverse effects on the human body due to the caffine found in cocoa. We must understand that the devil will not dangle a fowl smelling chunk of decomposed liver in our face to tempt us. He will most assuredly use what we find enticing as bait.

Here in Revelation, the Bible says that we shall experience "a beast rise up out of the sea." The first question that comes to most everyone's mind is "who or what is this beast?" Again...without going to any man for the answer. Why don't we look in the Bible to see what a beast represents. It makes sense to go to the Bible since the Bible is the book by which we find out about this beast.

Daniel 7:17

These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.

Daniel 7:23

Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

So what the Bible is saying is this beast actually represents a king or kingdom. Did you notice that Daniel states in 7:23 that the fourth kingdom will be "diverse" from all the others? Another word for diverse is "incomparable" or "different". Yes it is indeed a different world ours is. With all the inventions of modern man, this world of ours is totally and inconceivably unlike any other kingdom in the entire history of mankind!

The Bible speaks of a certain beast or kingdom, that will receive strength

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard... ...the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

Who is this dragon that the Bible speaks of you ask?

Revelation 12:9

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world:...

According to the Bible, the dragon is the Devil. But who or what is this beast that the Devil gives his power to? Again, Lets look in the Bible for the answers. The Bible actually describes the beast or kingdom rather well. All we have to do is read about what the Bible says the beast will do. Then we open our history books to see if there has ever been a kingdom on earth that has done the things the Bible predicts it will do. And then we will have the facts needed to make an intelligent decision.

The Bible tells us there are many things the beast will do that will identify itself, especially in the end-times when the dragon (Devil) knows his time is short. First lets look back in the Bible to see who the Devil preferred to use as his agents of desolation during the time Jesus walked the earth.

We know by our history books that Rome was the kingdom in power at the time, so this would make Herod a Roman Official under Caeser the Emperor of Rome. But don't trust me...What does the Word say?

There...The Bible tells us factually that Herod was of Rome. But how do you know that these Roman leaders were agents of the Devil? Well...Lets continue in the Bible, and see what it says...

From the time Jesus was born, the Devil, under the camouflage of the Roman kingdom wanted him dead! They obviously were under the influence of the Devil from the start. They killed all the baby boys of two years or younger in the hopes of killing the baby Jesus. However, as we know Jesus was safe in Egypt, thanks to the Angel that God sent to warn Joseph in a dream.

One interesting fact to note:

Before "Moses" was born, the king of Egypt put forth a decree that all the baby boys should be thrown in the river and drown. Then later, Herod tries to kill baby Jesus by having all the boys of 2 or younger killed. Now in the last days before Jesus returns, millions of babys are being killed by the President of this country by means of legalized abortion. See a pattern, or is it just me?

Matthew 27:2,22,26

And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor. Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified. Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

Here we see a Roman governor having Jesus scourged (whipped) and then led off to be crucified.
 

Matthew 27:27-31

Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers. And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head. And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him

Here Jesus is mocked, and beaten by an entire band of Roman soldiers!

Matthew 27:35

And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots

And finally they crucify Jesus. But that's not where it ends, not by a long shot!

Matthew 27:65,66

Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can. So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.

Here we see the Bible showing us that a Roman official seals the tomb in which Jesus' body is laid, and we also see Roman soldiers watching over his tomb!

So...Lets review. What kingdom is the Devil using in Jesus' day to do his bidding?

A ROMAN Official seeks to kill baby Jesus causing the deaths of many baby boys.

A ROMAN Governor condemns Jesus to die.

A ROMAN Soldier whips Jesus.

A ROMAN Band of Soldiers beat and mock Jesus.

A ROMAN Executioner crucifies Jesus.

A ROMAN Official seals the tomb of Jesus.

A ROMAN Squad of Soldiers keep watch on the tomb of Jesus.

Enough...? Ok, so now we know the kingdom the dragon preferred to enact his power through.

ROME

Now that we know how the Devil works, lets see if he is busy in today's world. What kingdom is he using today to do his evil bidding?

Revelation 13:2

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

The book of Revelation tells us this beast, will receive power from the dragon. We learned that the dragon is the Devil, and the Devil's kingdom or power was Pagan Rome. So if the Devil is giving his seat and authority to a kingdom or power, what kingdom or power is it today? This time lets look to our history books for this answer.

In Stanley's History, page 40: "The popes filled the place of the vacant emperors at Rome, inheriting their power, their prestige, and their titles from paganism."

Remember earlier when I mentioned boarding a doomed aircraft? PLEASE give me a few minutes to give you POSITIVE PROOF of what I am saying before you discard this document and ignore the warning. IT MAY COST YOU YOUR ETERNAL LIFE , AS WELL AS YOUR LOVED ONES!

As I mentioned earlier, you MUST keep in mind that the devil will not tempt us with a foul smelling chunk of decomposed liver if we were craving a choclate bar. Nor would he appear as a demon in all its horrendous reality if it's a godly man we seek. You must understand this simple fact. If the devil wants to maneuver you away from Jesus he will not do so as a creature in a red suit with a pitch fork and a long tail. No, he will appear as a man of God to do his evil work to deceive many into trusting him.

Remember this verse? Revelation 13:1

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

 
By the year 476A.D. the Roman Empire had been broken up into exactly ten kingdoms. The historian Machiavelli, without the slightest reference to this prophecy, gives the following list of nations which occupied the territory of the Western Empire at the time of the fall of Romulus Augustus (476A.D.), the emperor of Rome: The Lombards, the Franks, the Burgundians, the Ostrogoths, the Visigoths, the Vandals, the Heruli, the Suevi, the Huns, and the Saxons: ten in all. They have never since the breaking up of old Rome been united into one single empire... "The Divine Program of the Worlds History," by H. Grattan Guenness, pp. 318-321 (Quoted from "Bible Readings For the Home" pp 216,217)

The Dragon (Rome) had "seven heads and ten horns," The "heads" represent "heads of government". The ten horns represent the above ten kingdoms that transpired after the fall of Rome. The Vandals, Ostrogoths, and the Heruli kingdoms were destroyed by the Pope of Rome because they refused to become "Christian" nations. Now there are only seven remaining. In the year 538A.D. the army of the Emperor Justinian, in cooperation with the Pope, finally thrust the Ostrogoths completely out of the city of Rome. Thus taking over. In 538A.D. the Pope gained possession of Rome on the day Emperor Justinian decreed that the Pope should be the HEAD of all the "Christian" churches.

~Lets view the historical facts~

Hence...This prophecy was fulfilled when Constantine gave his Pagan Rome seat to Papal Rome.

Revelation 13:7
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

Here the Bible says the beast would have universal religious power. The Roman Catholic church has always had this world wide following. The word Catholic actually means Universal. Hence...Prophecy fulfilled!

Revelation 13:5
And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

First we must see how the Bible itself defines blasphemy...

John 10:33
The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

So here we see blasphemy is "claiming to take the place of God."

"Christ entrusted His office to the chief pontiff;... but all power in heaven and in earth has been given to Christ;... therefore the chief pontiff, who is His vicar, will have this power." Corpus Juris chap. 1 column 29, translated from a gloss on the words Porro Subesse Romano Pontiff

"We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty" ...Pope Leo XIII

"All the names which are attributed to Christ in Scripture, inplying His supremacy over the church, are also attributed to the Pope." Bellamin, "On the Authority of Councils," book 2, Chapter 17.

"For thou art the shepherd, thou art the physician, thou art the director, thou art the husbandman, finally thou art another God on earth." Labbe and Cossart's "History of the Councils." Vol. XIV, col. 109

The title "Lord God the Pope" can be found within a gloss of Extravagantes of Pope John XXII, title 14, chapter 4, Declaramus.

In an Antwerp edition of the Extravagantes, the words, "Dominum Deum Nostrum Papam" (Our Lord God the Pope) can be found in column 153. In a Paris edition, they are found in column 140.

"Hence the Pope is crowned with a triple crown, as king of Heaven and earth, and purgatory." Prompta Bibliotheca," Feraris, Vol. VI, p. 26, art. "Papa."

Roman Catholic Canon Law stipulates through Pope Innocent III that the Roman pontiff is "the vicegerent upon earth, not a mere man, but of a very God;" and in a gloss on the passage it is explained that this is because he is the vicegerent of Christ, who is "very God and very man." Decretales Domini Gregorii translatione Episcoporum, (on the transference of Bishops), title 7, chapter 3; Corpus Juris Canonice (2nd Leipzig ed., 1881), col. 99; (Paris, 1612), tom. 2, Devretales, col. 205

I certainly hope you understand this is from the actual pages of Catholic doctrine. The Pope actually claims to be God Almighty here on earth! Hence...Prophecy fulfilled!

Many people actually believe that the Pope is God on earth. It's indeed sad but true, notice the following excerpt taken from TIME magazine in an article reporting on the shooting of the Pope.

It's bad enough this person believes "it's like shooting God", but to have such a blatant disrespect for the lives of Presidents who are assassinated merely because of their occupation, is troubling to say the least.

A simple fact to notice... If the Pope were God Almighty as he claims to be. Why has it never been recorded in any history book whatsoever of a Pope raising a dead man, or healing a blind man, a deaf man, a leper, or a cripple? How about a simple miracle as easy as healing himself? How many Popes have died since the beginning of the Catholic church? I thought they said they were God. God never dies! Pretty plain to see now isn't it?

Another fact of the Catholic church's belief in it's divine origin, in most local libraries you can find the following book entitled... "The Vatican II Council." Go to Page 346 and you will find... "Christ's Catholic church alone which is the all embracing means of salvation"
A news article reporting in eight languages on the fact Pope John Paul II was concerned with the less frequent confessions of Catholics. The newspapers quoted the Pope in their headlines stating...

"NO FORGIVENESS 'DIRECTLY FROM GOD,' POPE SAYS."

 
According to God's Word...

Luke 5:21

...Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?

Even more blasphemy. According to the infallable Word of God, no one has the authority to forgive sin but God Himself. To say that God won't forgive someone, is to say that the Bible is a lie. The reason the Pope made this statement is because less people were going to confession to confess their sins to a priest. Is it possible the attendance in the confessional went down due to many reading the above verse in the book of Luke? Or is it because of the many other verses found in numerous books of the Bible that state ever so plainly that "JESUS CHRIST THE RIGHTEOUS: ...is the propitation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." [1John 2:1-2] I prayerfully hope so.

Revelation 13:7

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, 

The Roman Catholic church cannot deny history books that record events of the dark ages anymore than Hitler can deny the Jewish Holocaust. Over 50 Million Christians were burned at the stake as heretics because they would not accept the teachings of the Catholic church. This was a holy war against God's Saints. Hence...Prophecy fulfilled! (Some records indicate that over 100 million Christians were killed)

Notice the following decree passed by the church back then...

This decree is still considered valid according to the Vatican II Council! Is this how Jesus taught us to spread the Word? Would Jesus preach to people and kill them if they wouldn't listen? How can this claim to be a Christian church? Why do you think the pilgrims and puritans fled to this country? Don't you think they would rather have stayed home and started their churches in their own home towns? They couldn't because if they were found to be worshipping God in ways other than the Pope's commands, they would die! In countless numbers they came here from all walks of life risking the lives of their families across thousands of oceanic miles for the freedom to worship God in the way the Bible said they would.

According to this article, the Catholic church admits they take part in persecutions. PLUS, this article states that the Catholic church has no intention of stopping their "good behaviour." The mere mention of this "good behavior" brings to mind the prophecy of our Lord Jesus that, "They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service." [John 16:2]

The defense of Roman Catholics to this presentation is as follows: "Communists destroy churches because they are God's enemies; Catholic's destroy churches because they are God's friends... Against such men-founded churches... Catholics in Latin America should arise and wipe them out with fire." -John J. Oberlander, in The Voice of Freedom, 1954, p. 20.

The rector of the Catholic Institute of Paris, H.M.A. Baudrillart, revealed the attitude of the church and her leaders toward persecution. "When confronted with heresy," he said, "she does not content herself with persuasion, arguments of an intellectual and moral order appear to her insufficient, and she has recourse to force, to corporal punishment, to torture." The Catholic Church, The Renassance, and Protestantism, pp. 182-183

To get the government of a country's support to kill over 60,000 souls because they differ in religious belief. And then roar across Latin America for all catholics to rise up and kill "with fire" their neighbors that don't agree with such evil tactics is absolutely insane. And when they are confronted on their apparent boldness of heresy they reply that they have no fear of the authorities and they have every right to force, put to death, and even torture whomever they please. You ask yourself, is this Christlike? Do you suppose the Catholic church will try to convince our government to turn on those U.S citizens that don't agree with the church as well? Do you suppose they will infiltrate the government of this fair land and manipulate them into their way of self righteous and monarchical thinking?

Yes, it appears rather obvious, "something" is in the works.

Revelation 13:5

And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 

Now in order to understand the forty and two months that the beast will reign, we must first find the method of time the Bible declares for prophecy. God says in Ezekiel 4:6 "I have appointed thee each day for a year" And we also find the Bible acknowledges a month to be 30 days long. Because in, Genesis 7:11 we see the rain started on the 17 day of the 2nd month and in Genesis 8:3,4 we find that the water receded at the end of 150 days, then it says the ark rested on the 17th day of the 7th month. That's exactly 5 months. If we divide the 150 days by the 5 months you get 30 days per month. So 42 months multiplied by 30 equals 1260. According to Ezekiel 4:6, that's 1260 years that Papal Rome would reign. ...Back to the history books...

The papacy began its powerful reign in the year A.D. 538 upon Emperor Justinian's decree. And the Bible says the beast will rule for 1260 years. If you add 538 to 1260 you will arrive in the year 1798 A.D. According to the Bible we are told the reign will last till the year 1798 . So, did it end in 1798, and how?

Revelation 13:10

He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Here we see that the beast would be destroyed with the sword (sword = military) at the end of its reign. Did this happen to Papal Rome in 1798...? YES IT DID! On February 10th Napoleon Bonaparte in that EXACT year A.D. 1798 sent his General Louis Alexandre Berthier, with his army into Rome, Italy.

Exactly 42 prophetic months, or 1260 years after the Papacy began its powerful reign, the Pope was taken captive by the military! History records this 1260 reign as The Dark Ages. Shortly after his captivity the Pope died, in exile. Is this not an awesome prophecy? To get so accurate down to the very year something will occur! This can only be from the trustworthy Word of God Almighty! Hence...Prophecy fulfilled!

Revelation 13:3

And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

Nevertheless...The Bible says here in this verse that the Papacy would be healed and return to power as before. This prophecy was fulfilled when the Roman Catholic church was restored to its former power in 1929. Notice the actual prophetic headline on the following newspaper...

"Mussolini and Gasparri Sign Historic Roman Pact...HEAL WOUND of many years..."

How blunt can you get? Is this not an stunning prophecy as well? The Bible says the deadly wound was healed and the newspaper reports THE WOUND WAS HEALED! Hence...Prophecy fulfilled!

All throughout Bible prophecy we find the woman is used to symbolize a church. God Almighty actually likens His church to a "comely and delicate woman." [Jeremiah 6:2] The "bride of Christ," is actually the true church of Jesus. Is there also a woman for the church of Rome?

Revelation 17:3-5

So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Here the Bible actually explains who this woman is...

Revelation 17:18

And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

Here the Bible tells us where the city is on the earth.

Revelation 17:9

And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth

There is only ONE place on planet earth that has seven hills! Yes, you guessed it...ROME. Did you also notice the choice of colors for this church...PURPLE AND SCARLET Just like the robes and flags found every day in the Catholic church! Hence...Prophecies fulfilled!

The amount of prophecies that describe the Roman Catholic church as the beast, are numerous and to say the least, very literal. However, I give one more prophecy that sums it all up in such a way that says. The Cat's out of the bag!

"The number indicated by the letters of his name"...20th Century New Testament

"Verse 18: Six Hundred Sixty Six. The numeral letters of his name shall make up this number."...

Douay (Catholic) Bible. Note on Revelation 13:18

"The number represents a man's name, and the numerical value of its letters is six hundred and sixty-six"... The New English Bible New Testament Second Edition

The Bible is giving us a very blunt clue here. We are to look for a man's name that has the numerical value of 666.

This last prophecy concerning the beast I will be discussing, requires us to seek a name that will have this numerical value of 666. Once again we need to go to our history books...

Ok, now we have a name that the pope declares as his name...'VICARIUS FILII DEI'

Using the method of "Ghematria" lets see what we come up with...

Three different languages! Is this blunt enough? Could these three particular languages be chosen by chance? Notice the following two verses. Also notice the three languages the Devil had the Roman Governor use to mock Jesus on the cross!

John 19:19,20

And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS. This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.

Do you see the irony here? The Devil proclaims his shallow victory over Jesus in three languages as if he's flexing his evil muscles. And the Lord comes back using the Devil's choice of proclamation and reveals the Devil's evil plan to all that have eyes to see! Hence... PROPHECY FULFILLED!

Now for the final and most destructive lie that the Devil has spun in all his wretched existence.

Daniel 7:25

And he will speak great words against the most High... ...and think to change times and laws:

Matthew 15:6,9

...Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Ezekiel 22:28

...saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.

The Scripture is telling us that the beast will "think to change times and laws:" The Scriptures also tell us that the beast will attempt to make the "commandment of God of none effect by your tradition." Man will actually teach and try to replace God's doctrines for the commandments of men! Can this be??? Is it possible that the Roman Catholic church will attempt to rewrite God's laws and proclaim "Thus saith the Lord God, when the Lord hath not spoken"?! My friend...THIS HAS ALREADY HAPPENED!

You ask..."Can man replace the commandments with traditions, and then teach them to be as doctrine?"

"The Pope has the power to change times, to abrogate laws, and to dispense with all things, even the precepts of Christ." "The Pope has the authority and often exercised it, to dispense with the command of Christ." Decretal, de Tranlatic Episcop. Cap. (The Pope can modify divine law.) Ferraris' Ecclesiastical Dictionary.

They "dispense with the command of Christ???" When the Catholic church is asked..."Why do you feel you have the power, authority and ability to change Scripture to match your traditions?" They answer...

"Had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her; --she could not have substituted the observance of Sunday the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday the seventh day, a change for which there is no Scriptural authority." -Rev. Stephan Keenan, A Doctrinal Catechism, "On the Obedience Due to the Church," chap. 2, p. 174. (Imprimatur, John Cardinal McCloskey, archbishop of New York.)

How is this possible? Can the Catholic church actually believe they have the authority to change the Scriptures that God Almighty wrote Himself? Do they hold themselves above the God they claim to worship?

"The authority of the church could therefore not be bound to the authority of the Scriptures, because the Church had changed...the Sabbath into Sunday, not by command of Christ, but by its own authority." Canon and Tradition, p. 263

"Is not every Christian obliged to sanctify Sunday and to abstain on that day from unnecessary servile work? Is not the observance of this law among the most prominent of our sacred duties? But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctify." -James Cardinal Gibbons, The Faith of Our Fathers (1917 ed.), pp. 72, 73.

"The Catholic church," declared Cardinal Gibbons, "by virtue of her divine mission changed the day from Saturday to Sunday." Catholic Mirror Sept. 23 1983. (Official organ of Cardinal Gibbons)

Question - Which is the Sabbath day?

Answer - Saturday is the Sabbath day.

Question - Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?

Answer - We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church, in the Council of Laodicea (A.D. 364), transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday." The Convert's Catechism of Catholic Doctrine, p. 50, 3rd ed.

"The Bible says, Remember that thou keep holy the Sabbath day. The Catholic church says, No! By my divine power I abolish the Sabbath day, and command you to keep the first day of the week. And lo, the entire civilized world bows down in reverent obedience to the command of the holy Catholic church!" Father Enright, C.S.S.R. of the Redemptoral College, Kansas City, Mo., History of the Sabbath, p. 802

That's right my friend! The Roman Catholic church has boldly abolished the precepts and commands of Jesus on a world wide scale for well over a thousand years! The only problem the Devil is having with his evil plans to make it totally universal, is the Remnant Church Revelation 12:17 speaks of. This small amount of true Christians that walk this troubled earth are spreading the True Gospel of Jesus Christ as far as the Lord God Almighty has planned! They will not bow to the false doctrines and outright blasphemies of this un-godly organization. They will spread the Good News of Jesus Christ to every ear that will hear!

This trampling of the Sabbath has truly spread worldwide as a cancer. Read what some Protestant leaders have to say about the Sabbath of God.

Methodist - "The reason we observe the first day instead of the seventh is based on no positive command. One will search the Scriptures in vain for authority for changing from the seventh day to the first." Clovis G. Chappell, Ten Rules For Living, p. 61

Baptist - "Harold Lindsell, editor of Christianity Today, said, "There is nothing in Scripture that requires us to keep Sunday rather than Saturday as a holy day." Christianity Today, November 5, 1976

Episcopal - "The Bible commandment says on the seventh day thou shalt rest. That is Saturday. Nowhere in the Bible is it laid down that worship should be done on Sunday." PHILIP CARRINGTON, Toronto Daily Star, October 26,1949

Pretty plain isn't it. Here we see a few Protestant denominations acknowledge that the true Sabbath is indeed the Sabbath of the Creator. Yet they still continue to sanction Sunday the "sabbath of the creature" as their choice. Why? I will explain later.

Commandment # 4 (NOT #3 as found in "St. Joseph's Catechism")

Exodus 20:8-11

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Notice the word, "Remember"... The Lord knew the Devil would attempt to change His Sabbath in the end times. Notice also what day of the week the Bible says the Sabbath is. Now look at any calendar you have and you will notice that, yes indeed the seventh day is Saturday NOT Sunday. Did you also notice that the Lord says to keep it holy? He didn't say make it holy, because He already blessed the seventh day. Now, speaking of Sunday, the first day of the week, I ask you how can you keep it holy when it was never made holy? And how can man make anything holy? You ask, "What's the big deal... it's only a day!...How can it be so important?!"

Exodus 31:13

...Verily my Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.

Here we see the importance that God puts on the Sabbath. He calls it A SIGN between us and Him THROUGHOUT OUR GENERATIONS! Not just until the arrival of Jesus! Not just until the Old Testament ended. Not just until the prophecies are revealed in the last days!...THE BIBLE VERY PLAINLY SAYS IN A VERY UN-OPINIONATED WAY...

THROUGHOUT YOUR GENERATIONS!

Some say... "This is only for Abraham's seed (Israel)" And they would be correct. But, who is Abraham's seed? According to Galatians 3:29, "If ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise" Rather easy to understand isn't it? If you are true Christians, you are Abraham's seed! Some will even say..."this is Old Testament". And they would be right as well, but that doesn't mean it's invalid because it's Old Testament. If the Old Testament was invalid then all the other commandments are invalid as well. Like...Thou shalt not kill...or...Thou shalt not covet...etc. Besides, Jesus said with His own words in, Matthew 5:17 "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill." The Old and New Testaments make it very clear that the Commandments would be valid for ever!

However...if you still feel that Commandment keeping is considered Old Testament, then how about something so New Testament that it's the Very last chapter of the Very last book of the Bible!

How much more New Testament can you get? The Bible is saying here that unless you "do His commandments" you will not be entering the city! Do you understand what City this is?

Revelation 3:12
Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

This is the first day of the week. Today we call it, Sunday

(Ever notice that even our calendars acknowledge Sunday as the first day of the week?)

Genesis 2:2,3
And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

He blessed the seventh day not the first. I hope you notice too that the Lord actually gives the numerical day of the week so that no matter what name the seventh day is given over the course of time, it will always be the seventh day on every calendar that is ever printed!

Ecclesiastes 12:13
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

"Whole duty of man..." No wonder the Devil has re-written the commandments. If he (the Devil) can get man to believe that he is doing right by God, by following his re-written commandments he will have mislead that particular soul all the way to the flames of hell!

Deuteronomy 5:29
O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

The word all means just that..."ALL" (not...7..8..or even 9 commandments...All means 10)

Plus, The words always, and for ever are not saying "until Jesus arrives" or "until New Testament" Always and for ever are pretty easy words to understand...are they not?

Jesus taught us that if we truly love Him, we must keep His commandments. Jesus said "If ye love me, keep my commandments." [John 14:15] If it wasn't important to keep God's commandments, then Jesus would not have bothered to tell us about it, nor would He have kept them Himself. However, we see in John chapter 15 that Jesus did in fact keep His Father's commandments.

John 15:10
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

An undeniable fact to notice...

Jesus dies on the cross, they place His body in a tomb, and instead of preparing the body for burial at that time, the women (these women are New Testament Christians by the way) decide to go back and rest on the Sabbath day while there Lord lay in the tomb unprepared. They did according to the commandment!

Think about this... Even God Almighty, rested on the Sabbath day, while His Son Jesus, was lying in the grave.

Now it's the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK! Jesus has risen, (What the world calls, "Easter Sunday") and the women return to the tomb to do what the law commanded they could not do on Saturday the true Sabbath.

This is not the only record of Christians keeping the Sabbath. Paul preached on the true Sabbath to Jews, Greeks, and Gentiles!

It appears that Paul would have us to believe that we should come together and worship our Lord and hear His Preachers on the Sabbath day! There are some who feel because the Scripture just says Sabbath day, one could come to the conclusion that it could be Sunday, well, Look at verse 13. Notice where Paul chose to go and sit down on the Sabbath, "A Synagogue!" We all know who worships in a Synagogue. JEWS, Correct? And what day of the week do Jews recognize as the Sabbath? The seventh day of the week. Saturday! Now whether they be Jew, Greek, or Gentile makes no difference. The fact is they wanted Paul to come back and preach in verse 42. Paul did return, on the next Sabbath day. And every Sabbath day thereafter.

Luke 13:22-28
And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

Notice that they said..."We have eaten and drunk in thy presence..." These are people that know Jesus well. Very well as a matter of fact. They ate and drank with Him as a friend would. So this would lead one to understand that they may have even appeared to be one with Him. These are people that probably even told their friends and relatives about their new found friend, Jesus. However...Anyone can say they know Jesus. Anyone can say they believe in Jesus. The fact is "the devils also believe, and tremble." [James 2:19] Only those that obey His commandments can be called Christians! "He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." [I John 2:4 ]

Some denominations actually use this single verse to claim Sunday as the day to come together. But if you notice what happened before Paul preached you will understand that he went there to break bread. He preached after he ate, and he preached until midnight. According to Genesis 1:5,8 etc... Each day begins at sundown and ends at the next sundown. So, the dark part of the day comes first. This meeting was held on the beginning sundown of Sunday, or on what we today refer to as Saturday night The New English Bible actually translates this verse in this way... "On the Saturday night in our assembly..." This would also explain the "...many lights in the upper chamber" that the next verse in Acts speaks of. So, if this is a church service, are we to assume that we must also hold church services at night? Or is it a church service because they broke bread? Doesn't Acts 2:46 state very plainly. "...And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house..." If they say it's a church service because of the breaking of bread must we now assume that we should have church services daily?

One more note: Paul was to "depart on the morrow," so, is it possible that he was giving instructions to the church before leaving town the next day? Yes, that's exactly what was happening.

This verse has also been used to endorse Sunday keeping. But, there's absolutely NO reference whatsoever of a public meeting for when Paul arrives. Notice that Paul is asking for that to be given what "God hath prospered him." Is this normal tithing practices of a church to give only from what God has prospered that which has been laid in storage -or- savings? Is not Luke 18:12 rather plain? "...I give tithes of all that I possess." Paul was requesting that they gather some money together for the poor saints in Jerusalem, and he would stop by on Sunday to pick it up so "there be no gatherings when I come." This way he won't be delayed on his trip. To see proof of the need in Jerusalem for this gathering read, Romans 15:26 & Acts 11:26-30

As a matter of fact, Paul had a weekly preferance as to which day of the week he would worship the Lord God of all creation. Acts 17:2 states every so plainly that, "...Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,"

Some actually believe that breaking the Sabbath is no big sin, "it's only a day"

If it's no big sin than why would God command him to be stoned to death? Those of us that read and trust His Word know that the Old Testament God and New Testament God are the same God! He didn't need to send a "New and Improved" Holy Spirit for the New Testament church to be guided by. Does not Malachi 3:6 say..."For I am the Lord, I change not..." Nevertheless... Some still say... "This is for Israel only!" If that's so then explain these verses...

The NIV* plainly puts verses 6-8 "...For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham's children... ...In other words, it is not the natural children who are God's children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham's offspring." Verse #8 in the RSV states "This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are reckoned as descendants."

Exodus 31:12-17
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it [is] a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that [ye] may know that I [am] the LORD that doth sanctify you. 14 Ye shall keep the Sabbath therefore; for it [is] holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth [any] work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. 15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh [is] the Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth [any] work in the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. 16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, [for] a perpetual covenant. 17 It [is] a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

...Throughout your generations? ...Perpetual covenant? ...For ever?

Romans 1:20
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

If it's so easy for man to change the Law of God, then answer me this... Why did Jesus have to die on the cross for us? If the Law of God can be changed, then Jesus could have easily changed it and bypassed the cross all together! My friend...The way we show our love for God is simple, it is shown by our eagerness to Obey Him.
